Biography:

Born in Calgary, Jeffrey White went on to graduate from Interlochen Arts Academy and holds a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University, with continuing studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Jeff joined the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in 2003 on one year contracts, before spending a year as Principal Double Bass of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. In 2006, Jeffrey joined the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra as a permanent, tenured member. In 2012 Jeff went on an overseas adventure, joining the Aalborg Symphony in Denmark as Associate Principal and also serving as acting Principal Double Bass. In 2024 came the call of home, and Jeffrey relocated to Vancouver where he has been a regular sub with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
